Not giving ol’ Joe G. an out, but Pleasant is from Kansas and wanted to play closer to home so he went to Wichita State, where he got jack sh!t for playing time.

Daniel Ortiz did what he was supposed to do on Saturday afternoon. The UNA sophomore hit 3-pointers. More accurately, he hit a bunch of 3-pointers.
The 6-foot guard from Shreveport, La. hit 10 3-pointers to lead UNA to a 91-78 ASUN Conference victory over visiting North Florida at Flowers Hall.
Ortiz is the seventh player nationally to hit at least 10 3-pointers in a game this season. Two players – Antoine Davis of Detroit Mercy and Michael Moreno of ASUN foe Eastern Kentucky – have hit 11 3-pointers in a game this season. Davis also made 10 in another game. Ortiz now has 70 3-pointers and his hitting 43.8 percent outside the arc for the season. He had a single-game high of seven 3-pointers, set last Saturday in a win over Central Arkansas, this season.

Ethan Duncan who missed all of last year to a shoulder injury is transferring from Texas Tech.
As a senior at Trinity Christian, he averaged a reported area-best 27 points, 7.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game en route to securing Lone Star Varsity Boys Player of the Year honors. The walk-on guard committed to Texas Tech back in 2021.

He was the leading scorer at the time, averaging 15.8 points and 4.8 rebounds with a team-high 100 assists. The 6-foot-2 point guard was also named to the AAC Honor Roll on Nov. 14, Nov. 28, and Dec. 12.
He finished the season shooting 39% from the floor and 33% from 3-point range.

The 6-foot-5 guard entered the transfer portal Tuesday, as first reported by Verbal Commits. Tonje played four seasons at CSU but has the option to play a fifth COVID year as granted by the NCAA for players who were active during the 2020-21 season.
He was second on CSU in scoring this season at 14.6 points per game, which ranked 11th in the Mountain West.
