Yes. I personally hate it.NIU is neither mountain nor west
I would’ve much rather have had NDSU of course. However N. Illinois would be my second choice ahead of any FCS school and NMSU. N. Illinois while obviously not mountain or pacific gives MWC the best chance at renewing a decent TV Contract. It’s now obvious this will at the very least Quadruple our current TV cut and I’m all for that! If I were to gusss right now I’d say we are looking at 3-3.5 million. That puts us ahead of Sun Belt, MAC and CUSA. We are where we belong for now. The only thing missing is winning. I strongly believe if Utep can put 5 years together of winning in Football and Basketball and good attendance the PAC will come calling and that’s probably be our ceiling. Problem is nothing has encouraged just yet we can put 5 years winning together! The UC Davis move for Basketball was kinda weird, I think Cal Santa Barbara, Pacific or Long Beach would’ve been better if that’s the direction MWC wanted to go, but whatever.Yes. I personally hate it.
Well Corona then let’s hope Utep gets their crap in order and realizes the fan base deserves more and will support winners and we get in the PAC one day!I’m over being in a conference with teams east of the Mississippi. It’s only a matter of time before NIU starts pushing for teams closer to them. Eventually, when the MW gets picked apart, it’ll pave the way for adding more teams in that direction. Before you know it, the conference will be even more scattered than C-USA.

I don’t mind being in a conference with central time zone teams. Texas teams are preferred, but Illinois is fine too. Better than Delaware and Florida.I’m over being in a conference with teams east of the Mississippi. It’s only a matter of time before NIU starts pushing for teams closer to them. So in other words you also don’t want teams east of the Mississippi?I don’t mind being in a conference with central time zone teams. Texas teams are preferred, but Illinois is fine too. Better than Delaware and Florida.
New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, Indianapolis, Chicago, and Milwaukee are all east of the Mississippi, I would take schools near there over teams in Florida, New York, Delaware, Virginia. So in other words you also don’t want teams east of the Mississippi?
We ain’t getting Tulane, Vanderbilt or Memphis. That leaves us with Butler, NIU and MTSU. Yay back in CUSA with western travel included now.New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, Indianapolis, Chicago, and Milwaukee are all east of the Mississippi, I would take schools near there over teams in Florida, New York, Delaware, Virginia.
I didn’t really mean THIS conference, meant a conference with central time zone teams is acceptable to me. NIU being a football only member is acceptable to me.We ain’t getting Tulane, Vanderbilt or Memphis. That leaves us with Butler, NIU and MTSU. Yay back in CUSA with western travel included now.
El Paso has direct flights to Chicago. 🤷♂️Yes. I personally hate it.

Is that because of the cartels?? Chicago is an important market according to Ozark.
Fili did you know Ozark is based off a true story? Wild!
No. It's because Michael Jordan really likes Mexican food and wants to get here as quickly as possible. MJ doesn't do connecting flights. Is that because of the cartels?? Chicago is an important market according to Ozark.
They’ll keep adding FCS teams to keep alive. The WAC was supposed to die 10 different times but didn't. It will survive somehow
Not sure. Everyone thought it was DOA when the NDSU rumors came out.NIU still hasn't been announced. The way I see it, the longer this drags out the less likely it becomes.
Including BYU in the statement is a bit of a reach since GCU planned to join after BYU was already in the Big 12
Didn’t Boise State at one time accept an invitation to join the American Athletic, only to renege and remain with the Mountain West? Was there any ramifications from that? There is precedence here.Including BYU in the statement is a bit of a reach since GCU planned to join after BYU was already in the Big 12
Boise St and San Diego St had agreed to join the Big East. Same with TCU. I think Boise St was able to command certain things to return too.Didn’t Boise State at one time accept an invitation to join the American Athletic, only to renege and remain with the Mountain West? The Ivy League decided a long time ago, they didn’t want to emphasize athletics. Rice and Stanford aren’t exactly shining examples of “doing it” right now.I wonder if the Big East will ever make comeback in football??
Why don't the Ivy schools move up in football?? RICE and Standford are able to do it.
Neither is Vandy...that is, until Pavia showed up.The Ivy League decided a long time ago, they didn’t want to emphasize athletics. Rice and Stanford aren’t exactly shining examples of “doing it” right now.

They finished 6-6 and had a losing conference record! This is only their 10th bowl game of all time. Even the Miners have more than 10 bowl game appearances!Neither is Vandy...that is, until Pavia showed up.
You would think Pavia is the king...they worship him around here. They finished 6-6 and had a losing conference record! This is only their 10th bowl game of all time. Even the Miners have more than 10 bowl game appearances!
