Nigel Hawkins has been named the CUSA Freshman of the Week. We have now had three different players earn FOW week honors for a total of four awards. Great recruiting by Coach Terry.

We are tied with WKU for most Freshman POW. The only difference is we’ve done it with three players they’ve done it with only Bassey.

I think this is just a small sample of what Hawkeye will be bringing. He's beginning to get the feel of playing at this level.

Hawkins is a guy with a super high ceiling. Right now, he is primarily an attack the basket guy offensively. As he continues to expand his mid range and three point range, he has a chance to be an efficient and dangerous scorer. He needs to cut down on his turnovers, and continue to work on his defense. High upside.
