Kalu with the start. He's got a ton of potential. Glad he has games likes this one to develop and show Golding what he can do.
Maring seems more polished offensively. Kalu so far seems better defensively and on the boards.
Why aren’t technical fouls announced over the PA anymore? Is it so we don’t hurt the feelings of our fragile youthful student athletes?
If Kalu can average 5/5 he'll help out. Hopefully step it up a little more by conference play.
Kinda linking what I see from White. Very athletic and skilled. Kalu seems to have a knack for finding good rebounding position. Maring seems to find his place as well.
So I took a chance and purchased a C-USA TV sub for a month. So far, definitely better than a couple of years ago.
If Saterfield can get his defense where it needs to be, he’ll help this team out with their anemia.
Interesting no Sibley so far. After good minutes against the Aggies.
I think so far he's earned more minutes for the Pacific game.
Maybe he's locked for playing time and Golding wants to see the other bigs.
I hope you’re right. Golding can get his defense to where it needs to be I think. You can’t leave a shooter off the court for too long. He is deadly from range.
I like Bonke's effort. He's hustling and not giving up on a possession even when he may have initially been out of position.

So I realize we're playing UNNM but at least we get a look at some of our guys that won't get many minutes in other games. They need to show effort and discipline for Coach Golding to reward them with playing time. In this game, we see who gives the effort, who shows discipline, and who displays both.

An official just called a foul on a NNM player. When signaling the call to the scorer’s table, it looked like he was flipping off someone. 😱😂
I think the Miners are perfect from the line. Like 13 of 13. Would be nice if we shoot well from the stripe all the time.

Maring is looking pretty good. I hope he can play like this against better competition. I mean, he's nailed a 3, hustled, got a steal on the defensive end and ran it all the way down court for a dunk. He's showing some nice skills.
Definitely got sloppy as the game wore on. VERY sloppy.
That said, nice effort by some of our new guys. Maring and White in particular. Maring seems very selfless; threw one away 3 feet from the basket trying to get an outlet pass to Kennedy who was not expecting it. Onyema, oh boy. Seriously lacking court awareness. Unless he has the ball in his hands or is hustling to position for a rebound after someone shoots, he is L-O-S-T on the court.

If Golding had kept the starters in we'd have won by 120. We won by 40 with our subs, mostly. Still, it's gonna be a tough season.
I thought Onyema would improve during the off season. He is relying on his raw athleticism but finds himself out of position. CUSA is weak this year so hopefully Golding can leverage something. Hope.
