May 15 a study to revive or not revive UAB football will come out. Either way, the rumor mill out of CUSA officials (who wish to remain anonymous) say that's it too little, too late and, according to the article, that it appears to be the decision when they meet in early June. The article appears to convey CUSA personal thoughts on the matter. They should have thought about this when they made this costly, not thoroughly studied nor vetted out, brain dead decision; but UAB University knew it was a clear violation of CUSA bylaws. Especially now that CUSA loses out on a good size TV market and football is the cash cow for FBS sports schools.
This is a really great article on the whole situation written by an ODU sports beat writer. I wish our local sports media personnel wrote this well.
