I was thinking the same, but, host countries have done very well in world cups. If we don't get them, then portugal is the weakest linkDream scenario would be to draw Qatar from Pod 1.
never mind this won't work.... Need a UEFA team if we don't get portugal... I pick Scotland over Saudi Arabia and I also can't have Qatar and Morocco in the same group, I think.... Never mind I can have qatar and moroccoHope we get
Pot 1 Qatar or Portugal
Pot 3 Morocco
Pot 4 Saudi Arabia
edit: I don't think we can have Morocco and the Saudis
edit the edit: yes we can
Aren't we always in Ghana's group? It seems we always have to play them. I assume it's a rule at this point.never mind this won't work.... Need a UEFA team if we don't get portugal... My dream draw is
Qatar/Portugal
Morocco
Scotland/New Zealand/UAE
They’ve only been in the same group twice.Aren't we always in Ghana's group? It seems we always have to play them. I assume it's a rule at this point.
We're going to be in Ghana's group.
I remember thrice. We lost twice and won once. They’ve only been in the same group twice.
I've been watching soccer since I was in my mom's womb. USMNT has played Ghana 3 times but one of those was a round of 16 match.I remember thrice. We lost twice and won once.
I'll consult Google and see which of us is right.
Ah. We played Ghana in the Round of 16 in 2010.They’ve only been in the same group twice.
Yes, you're right. I posted my correction right when you posted that.I've been watching soccer since I was in my mom's womb. USMNT has played Ghana 3 times but one of those was a round of 16 match.
The Ghana striker (Gyan?) that used to kill us is probably close to his mid 30s now so hopefully we can handle him again this time around if we get matched up!Yes, you're right. I posted my correction right when you posted that.
I'd be okay if we never play Ghana again.

Win vs Saudis4th time Mexico will play Argentina in the WC. Has yet to beat them.
I think it’ll be Wales. Scotland is good but I really think they’ll win that playoff.Jeez we may have to start with Ukraine
Im not so sure about the loss to Argentina. México seems to always play up to their competition in group play. Have tied or beat the likes of Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, France, Brazil, and Germany the last couple of WC's.Win vs Saudis
Loss vs Argentina
Draw/Loss vs Poland just because Lewandowski can score a lot
My guess is Wales, too. If it is Wales, there won't be a team in group B outside of #21 in the world rankings, and only Iran outside the top 20.I think it’ll be Wales. Scotland is good but I really think they’ll win that playoff.
England's tabloids called it EASY in 2010Oh I’m loving the takes from the UK side that I follow. I would say it’ll be a draw with the current manager
Imo the group of death is Germany, Spain, Japan and possibly Costa Rica. Two world powers and two teams capable of playing spoiler. We got a good draw! Mexico not so much. They got the group of death, imo.
The only problem I see is Ukraine, if they qualify they'll be the default second home team in this tournament. When Germany drew Spain, I thought that was gonna end up being the group of death, but they got favorable match ups from pod 3 (Japan) and 4
Edit: I thought the German/Spain group got peru vs australia in their group, but it will probably be Costa Rica. That could be a tough group
Is it going to be a huge party? They punish acts such as alcohol consumption, and illicit sexual relations with flogging. The government has said they will allow alcohol to be sold in fan zones around the stadium but how many people will be willing to go out there and act crazy? We already know someone’s gonna get arrested and it’s going to be a big international scandal. Plus they have a restrictive dress code, especially for women, so will that be enforced at the stadiums? Because if it is I don’t want to watch Brazil play. One thing that I thought was cool was that all stadiums are within a 35 mile radius of the center, but then I was thinking... The traffic is going to be a shit show. In 2014, besides the rain, the traffic was horrible in Natal. Before you only had to worry about having 4 countries in a city at one time, now you gonna have all 32 teams on top of each other. I wonder what Qatar has done with their infrastructure to prepare for that.... The other thing is going to be fans being able to sleep. That is going to be one crazy ass party for about a month straight. It's going to be like carnival, and mardi graws all over the world combined into one on steroids... in a 35 mile radius.
I wonder what the teams are going to do. Will the World Cup have its own version of an Olympic village?
This is going to be crazy
Yeah. Sucks for the U.S. since we won our way into the confederations cup.One other thing, it may seem like a minor in detail, but it is kinda a big issue, there is no confederations cup, so not really any dry run to test the stadiums or infrastructure.
I think it will be a huge party... I think they will have designated "non-drinking areas" as opposed to designated "drinking areas". No way FIFA agreed to have the world cup in Qatar if those parameters were going to be placed on fans from other countries. I think it's gonna be one crazy party. Alcohol isn't illegal in Qatar, but public intoxication is. My guess is Qatar was willing to bend the rules on this to get the world cup.Is it going to be a huge party? Oh they bent rules to get the damn stadiums built so im sure they’ll do the same for drinking.I think it will be a huge party...
