Not excusing her actions AT ALL, however she admits in the article that it was absolutely retribution for the way Berhalter publicly called GR out at the WC.
Also, not defending Reyna, because it sounds like he basically pouted when informed of the minimal role he'd be playing in Qatar, but I knew there was more to Reyna not playing than "he isn't fit".

Went to Palm Springs California this weekend to watch MLS preseason.
Watched my former student Luis Barraza and NYCFC play Portland Timbers.
Luis is from Sunland Park and was at Santa Teresa for some of his High School before going to the RSL Academy.
Anyway, he was worn 13 his whole career as Sean Johnson’s back up. Johnson signed in the offseason with Toronto.
Luis told me that he will be switching to the Number 1 jersey for this weekends opener vs Nashville. We traded him a Santa Teresa shirt for his 13 jersey.
Very very exciting to see a local kid as an MLS keeper wearing #1.
