OT: College Basketball News 2022- '23🏀⛹️

McKnight reminds me a lot of that kid we had probably 6 or 7 years ago, Lee Moore. He looks so out of control under/near the rim at times, but is a helluva finisher. Wish we had a guy like that.

Yeah, he was only with us a year. Left to go earn some $ playing overseas somewhere.
He actually went to Europe and has bounced around. I would have loved to have seen VH on that year's team with Lee Moore. It was a great shooting team and fast paced with the 4 guard lineup. Would have liked to see Moore on the next year's team as well.

CUSA showing that they were legit in basketball this season. Charlotte with the win, UNT and UAB both making the NIT semifinals and FAU making the sweet 16.

All leaving for greener pastures and us left, once again, sucking hind tit. Apologies for the analogy; just one I've heard forever. Fvck them all. Don't give a crap about any of them.

And if I haven't said this lately, I fvcking HATE this conference. Love our Miners but c'mon, man. Someone cut this school a fvcking break already.

Gonzaga shot like the Miners at the free throw line down the stretch and blew an 8 point lead with 53 seconds to go. Lucky for them they hit that long 3 pointer (which I thought was a bad shot, as it was way downtown and they plenty of time left on the clock, but what do I know).

The K State/Mich State going into OT, FAU going on a second half run to beat Tenn, Gonzaga and UCLA going down to the wire ... there were some great games on tonight.

We all know who are considered the power conferences in football. But what about basketball? Who was the last non power conference school to win it all? I’m thinking Jerry Tarkanian’s UNLV Running Rebels in 1990 when they were members of the Big West.

Marquette in 1977. They were independent.

UConn in 2014.

Gonzaga is getting their asses handed to them. Always a darling within the sports media. But often overlooked is they play in the West Coast Conference. Not exactly a power basketball conference.

They’ve made 5 Elite 8s since 2015 and have played in 2 National Championship games. It doesn’t matter that they play in the WCC.
