I’ve raised this before, but the radio broadcast for MBB is painfully disfunctional.

Teicher never shuts up; Yellen can’t get in a word edgewise.

When Yellen finally forces in a comment, Teicher doesn’t even acknowledge him — he just robots on with his monologue.

It just doesn’t work.

Mr. Teicher has been at it for decades so he must be doing something right. Really good and intelligent man to sit and speak with.

Yellen is ANNOYING!!! I am glad teicher cuts him off it would be unbearable otherwise

It's either renew contract time again for Teich or changes when there is new regime change and the AD goes over every single department employee and outsourced contract. From the football coach to the sports info underling(s) and that includes Teicher. If you all want Teich gone you need to correspond with him or her immediately your displeasure and be persistent you want new broadcasters. Be forewarned that the local, state and national sports media industry is very, very tight and protect each other better than law enforcement and I'm not kidding. Teich and crew have a private army so good luck. He may be aloof to the you at the restaurant when you want to go shake his hand, but he knows who butters his bread and it's not regular or casual UTEP fan.

Lets face it, Stull built a dynasty here and a lot of good came of it but the flip side is we're not going to see the "New blood. New change" many in El Paso want to see.

Teich yelled at me when I was kid and I've never gotten over that. But I do like to listen to him, he's really good at his job.

Man, I wish someone would've told me there was a dynasty here. I completely missed it.

I've got mixed emotions on Teicher. I've always considered him to be a top flight sports caster with a vast knowledge of both basketball and football, plus he has the persona and the voice to get the job done. On the other hand...he was in Dallas a few years ago to cover a game with SMU and we coincidentally boarded the same flight to EP. I approached him in the airport, introduced myself and started to engage him when he just indicated with a perturbed glare that he had no interest in wasting his time with anything I might have to say. I don't remember that he even uttered a word; just a " don't bother me " glance.

Stull has his own tree both in coaching and as an AD. Nothing wrong with that and its trstament to his work. The man left his mark on UTEP.

But Price, CTF, and Kugler underperformance has left fans with a bad taste in their mouth. People know UTEP can do better.

Teich has gotten better in the last couple years. He doesn't sound like he's announcing for the opponent anymore at times. I realize he put up with the drunk and annoying fans when he used to do post game call in show and I understand it was to much to bear.

The same can be said for Stull as well. Stull has left a mark at UTEP as well as a bad taste in fans mouths and people knowing UTEP could do better. He has left the athletic department in terrible shape.
