Forget about the NCAA Tournament, Tim Floyd has taken UTEP down to a level where it can not even get out of the first round of it's own Don Haskins Sun Bowl Tournament.
This is now two years in a row that UTEP has been beaten in the opening round of it's own tournament. Which is typically the easiest draw, in what has become arguably the lowest level tournament in the nation.
It's a good thing that UTEP does not have to accomplish anything to qualify for the Don Haskins Sun Bowl Tournament, or else we potentially might also have to start adding this Tournament to our list of Tournament droughts that we are currently in. At the rate of decent in which our program is currently falling, it might not be too long before we have to start hanging banners in the rafters for the years that we made the Don Haskins Sun Bowl Tournament.
