Is there any way that UTEP(or any of the fall playing schools) would also be able to get some games in during the Spring semester as well(if needed)?

Let's say UTEP can only get 4 or 5 games played during the next 4 months(Sept to Dec). Could they then reschedule any missed games for Jan or Feb when the other conferences would also start playing?

Or could they possibly even add a replacement game, if they can't reach a full schedule. For example, NMSU and Nevada will be rebuilding their schedule if they do in fact play in the spring. Would UTEP be allowed to add a game with NMSU and Nevada in say Jan?, in order to reach a full schedule if needed. I understand there would be a competitive disadvantage(one team ending their season vs. one team starting their season), but just wondering if playing in both semesters is a possibility?

If so, then starting in Sept. seems to make a lot of sense, as it potentially gives you up to 6 months to get a schedule accomplished. While the season would be longer, it would be filled with a lot of bye weeks and you would also accomplish playing only a couple of games in Jan(maybe Feb), which would help the impact concern of turning around and having the next season start again in Sept 2021.

He does huh? Despite never posting any “insider” info or saying that he does? Literally, nobody is talking about BYU scheduling UTEP. He said it was “likely”, no random tweet, article, or the old “I was told by an inside source”.

We averaged approx 10700 fans for home games in 18-19, and approx 21,500 last year. I’m betting we won’t even average 10000 this year if they play the season. Dimel is already safe and has a built in excuse for this year.

Just realizing we’ve got at least two more years stuck with this suck ass coach.

If he secures either or both of those teams I’ll retract my opinion of him.

I don’t see the point of hosting a game or games. Financially it doesn’t make sense. If we pay Lamar 250-300k and beat them but then the season is cut short that was a waste of money. If they beat us Dimel better resign immediately.

Same goes for a h/a with a g5. Unless he can schedule the game on the road and the return game in a few years. Why add more losses to this program? We’ve suffered enough. Play Texas get out alive with our check and wait for the inevitable season cancellation.

Those are the only type of games we should schedule for 2020. As we figured out earlier there isn’t that many paydays left. Something tells me we’ll end up hosting a CUSA/SB/FCS team as our home opener. Why?

Do you think we’ll be any better than the last three years? The fans deserve a break from losing.

I could be wrong and the back up qb of a 3 win juco team is the answer we’ve been waiting for.
