Fili initiated some ridiculous discussions about the Miners' chances for an at large bid before finally giving it up after our blowout loss to NMSU. There was one CUSA team coming into conference play, however, that did have realistic dreams of an at large provided they dominated the conference: Liberty. Unfortunately for the Flames, however, their play in conference hasn't been nearly as impressive as it was OOC, and those dreams are dashed. Still, I believe Liberty to be a significantly better team than we are, they're at home, and will be looking to bounce back after second conference home loss that they really should have won. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see this one going our way:

Liberty 79
UTEP 65

Not sure what do expect here. Liberty with 2 losses already in CUSA. Hopefully UTEP takes full advantage, but I'm afraid they will be mentally beat up now.

Liberty comes out more prepared for a much needed win already with the top 4 in conference looking pretty competitive. Our players will not overcome the PTSD handed down by NMSU. Give me Liberty 76 or give me death (being a UTEP fan) UTEP 67.
We beat FIU though

Joe is going to have his troops pumped up and ready to go!!! A national tv appearance on CBSSN will have all 5 non UTEP and Liberty viewers on the edge of their seats!!!

UTEP 125
Liverpee 17

UTEP sets the record for biggest win ever! KJ Thomas with 80 by himself!

Go Miners!

I don't have my hopes up for this one. The wheels could fall off the Golding mining cart if we loose this one and the next road trip. I'm thinking Floyd loosing the team bad, hope I am wrong.

taking leap of faith here, Miners come alive in the second half and win by 5. If the score is in the 80's ...
Miners are a different team when they run...
