UTEP Basketball Recruiting

He is a solid score!
One of the finest prep basketball players in the nation, McKinney, Jr., was tabbed the top player in the state of Missouri's class of 2019 by both ESPN and 247Sports. During his high school career, he was considered a four-star recruit as well as the 19th-best point guard in the country.
A 2019 Missouri Basketball Coaches Association's all-state team choice, McKinney, Jr., led Vashon High School to back-to-back-to-back Missouri state championships in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Hopefully all he needs is more minutes to turn into a scoring machine cuz he didn't seem to get that many at the crosses.

Last year people like unihorn and CubeJack : Die Aggie die, you suck!

Guy had great juco stats but why did he only play 9 games
Averaged 18.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game

He would be solid. He was southern miss best player before he got hurt.
Agree on Hardy. Would have liked to get the commitment. I was hoping Golding would also go after Moore from USM as well. However, it looks like Moore is attracting P5 schools.

Zachery can play

He had went with his florida juco coach to Buffalo but did not play- He had some legal issues- he stabbed someone- then he got a cushy resolution and I recall him saying he was glad and was sticking with Buffalo
And then a few days later he was in the portal which suggests Buffalo was not sticking with him

But if I recall he is from NY so maybe he won't have any problems far away from home

David Patrick was one of the finalists not chosen over Golding. Got a JUCO AllAmerican to go to Sac St. They play in a 1,000 seat gym built in 1955 and have never been to the NCAAs or NIT.

As is almost every college. The NCAA made a mess of college sports. How many of these kids will have a career in sports after they graduate?
What happened to getting an education?
Not really. COVID has a lot to blame too. The players only get a 1 time “free” transfer. Once 2025 hits, we should be free of COVID years. The portal will slow down a bit.

Do you really care about their career after sports? Are you going to be happy with Sibley if he averages 3ppg and 3rebs in significant minutes they rest of his career? If he becomes a lawyer, you’re not going to complain about his output while on the court??

It’s ridiculous some of you hold these kids to a commitment, when many of us don’t do the same. If you don’t like your current job, you’re not putting out a portal release and are applying/interviewing behind your current employers back. Hoping to get a new job. Why should they be held to a higher standard????

Yep. It's all about money and me me me. A very large percentage could care less about an education. This goes for players, coaches, NCAA and us fans. Problem is us fans keep funding it.
