A win at NMSU would make me feel a lot better!
I wonder what our RPI would have been if we beat BSU...
This is our only true road game of the year (and pre-conference except for maybe at South Carolina) and our only real chance left to make a little leap in the RPI.

Well, that's disgusting. The good news is that our RPI means absolutely nothing. Those discussions are reserved for teams with a glimmer of at-large hope. Sadly, our season comes down to four games in March, regardless of what we do from here.
NMSU is playing on a natural high. They have a chip on their shoulder. NMSU owns UTEP under Floyd. Every single freshman for UTEP will need to play like a veteran like they've been there before and right now only Omega (who is hurt), Frazier, Wilms can match that intensity. Thomas can not afford stupid fouls because they will call it and he needs to play to his ability.
UTEP basketball RPI is now 303 out of 351 teams and according to realtime rpi's computer generated GAMER predictions they are now projecting an overall 12-16 record for the current basketball season. No joke, see for yourself.

If you factor in the moral victories and 'balls out' efforts they're projecting a 28-0 season. This should keep the Floyd cheerleaders very happy.
