Not according to the records that EP posted. Seems like this team was right in line with the later years Haskins teamsAll I know is when I was I kid I thought the WAC sucked. Looking at where we are now, boy was I wrong.

Yeah but the years EP is taking about was the very late 90s lolA good comparison for the WAC of old would be the MWC of today. During the mid 80s into the 90s the WAC was getting 3 teams into the tourney on a fairly regular basis. The quality of basketball was usually pretty good through the top 5-6 teams in the conference.
Yeah but I was responding to 8106 whose question had to do with the WAC as a whole, not UTEP specifically. I just happened to specify the timeframe in which the WAC was a tough bb conference.Yeah but the years EP is taking about was the very late 90s lol

What relevance does that have with UTEPs bad record? In 1998, Utah was in the National Championship game. They were other great teams as well.

I am was just showing you how good the teams were back then. Finishing over .500 wasn't terrible. What relevance does that have with UTEPs bad record?

A bad record is 6-24 or 8-21. One or two games below or above .500 is average.I am was just showing you how good the teams were back then. Finishing over .500 wasn't terrible.
