Initial thoughts from the first half:

- Boise is a quality team, and looks the part

-UTEP so far is tough to watch, both offensively and defensively

- Boise should be up by 20 considering all the missed open shots

- omega Harris is non existent, and has essentially been passive the whole half

- Keith frazier is the only reason we aren't getting blown out so far, because our offense is downright ugly.

- we are giving Boise open looks at the 3-ball damn near every trip.

All i got for now

UTEP up 48-41 now. Crazy turnaround this half.

Boise's star player, and future NBA prospect is having a tough time which is really helping us out

Get the quality win against South Carolina. No one will remember if you beat Illinois State come March.

Trash!!! That was ****ing trash coaching and execution at the end. This team isn't going anywhere. Floyd needs to go.

That is a good team UTEP come up short against.

Brain fart of the game is you don't want your big man to bring it in. Frazier should have brought it in. Big men don't have the skill set for passing in tight spaces.

While Boise marches on into the finals and earns selection committee respect for doing so.

All I'm saying is what you saw and what I saw were different.

Omega was absent early. I really do think that was crucial.

Tough loss. Frazier hero ball isn’t going to get it done. Need more balanced contributions.

It's one game.

UTEP looks way, way better than I anticipated and showed grit and way more discipline than last year.

Or, Boise played a bad game and made us look better because of it.

I know the commentators talked about how our defensive schemes were affecting Hutchison, but the truth is he was missing easy open buckets that are normally automatic for him.

Either way, that game pissed me off. I don't have any hope for this team until they can inbound an effing ball and keep the opposing team's best player from running 20ft to a completely uncontested dunk. Not holding my breath that we improve in those areas with timmy at the helm....

I saw a good team effort crumble under pressure. Typical Floyd coached Miner team. Nothing different than in years past. No silver lining in this one. Yes, we are better than last year at this time. What will that amount to when we consistently lose this type of game?

Botched a golden opportunity with a great chance to advance to the finals of this tourney. Who knows, a "lucky" win over ISU in the finals and things look really good. Opportunity shit down the drain.

I'm hoping the new AD has the gonads to do the right thing and get rid of Floyd. His time is over. Basketball, like Football needs a new coach who will revitalize the team and hopefully make us respectable again.

Why do we continue to hold the ball late (slow down the game) in games that we are up in instead of putting the other team away? Typical for this coaching staff. They had a lot of open layup opportunities late in the game that they pulled back out. The talent is wayyyy better than last season but the coaching remains the same.

Not when they new AD is Park. They are besties. We are in for a lot of tough years ahead.

They played a much better second half, just couldn’t seal the deal.

You never give up a uncontested dunk even if they have to work for it. That came down on the coaches fault for that one
Seriously..... Because Coach Floyd was on the floor guarding him........ The reality is our top guys didn't show up and choked at the end...don't blame the coach....

Jeebus, I haven't seen so much overreaction since the first half. There were a lot of good things during this game. Rebounds, free throw shooting, turnovers, blocks, steals, offensive rebounds. All against a quality team and coach in their first game together. Let's just climb down from the ledge okay.

Think I'm gonna hang out up here for a while.

It looked to me like they didn’t intentionally give it up, rather they failed to switch the screen.

I believe you're correct. I watched the two just look at each other like "I thought you had him", "Nah man, I thought you had him". I thought we played an ok game. It's just that you won't see an Izzo coached team, or a coach K coached team, or a Huggins coached team give something like that up. That's the time when you pay extra close attention to the details. Preparation, preparation, preparation.

Fans with your expectations are why we never move forward at this university.

If you accept mediocrity and the "moral victories" that come with it, then that's exactly what you'll get every season. Maybe some of y'all are happy with that, but I honestly can't be.

Again, this is season 8 of the Floyd era, and nothing has changed...

No matter what you say I’m still going to say it’s coach Floyd’s fault . His team always tend to play finesse towards the end of the game
