But SDSU was 3-9 that year. Tulsa in 1988 was 4-7. I went all the way back to the early 80s and I can’t find any better non conference wins. I remember UTEP beat Urlacher UNM in the late 90s, that may be one too.The last good OOC win they had was 2006 against SDSU. That win was on the road.
Look it up and report back.UTEP had the best OOC win??
Did anyone in CUSA have a better win this season?
I cant find anything. UTEP website only goes back to 2004.Look it up and report back.
You have received 1 demerit for asking an easy question.
Well besides NMSU utep hasn't beaten a note worthy opponent in OOC.Sdsu finished 3-9 and hadnt had a winning season in 8 years.
But i dont think UNM wasnt OOC back then. But SDSU was 3-9 that year. Tulsa in 1988 was 4-7. I went all the way back to the early 80s and I can’t find any better non conference wins. I remember UTEP beat Urlacher UNM in the late 90s, that may be one too.
Stoney Brook 2011Well besides NMSU utep hasn't beaten a note worthy opponent in OOC.
You know what? You’re right. They were in the WAC. Wow, so this a 2-1 Boise St team has the potential to be their biggest out of conference win in 40 years? But i dont think UNM wasnt OOC back then.
Boise is probably the biggest name the Miners have beat since the 60s - OOC.
Over the last 30 years, the majority of UTEPs OOC wins are over NMSU, UNM, and FCS schools.
If someone wants to do the work, I don’t think UTEP has ever beat a good non-conference team, other than Sun Bowls.
I hope you’re kidding of just forgot that UTEP beat the defending national champions BYUBoise is probably the biggest name the Miners have beat since the 60s - OOC.

All of your questions are dumb. 100% of them. Shock us all and ask a good question just onceWw
Looks like my question isn't dumb after all . You receive 2 demerits.

You are right I stand correctedI said OOC. Out of conference
Dominated themMTSU beating Miami. So there goes Uteps best OOC win in the CUSA.
Long time ago!In 1979, UTEP beat UNLV 17-15. UNLV finished the season 9-1-2. That was their last “good” OOC win. Was here in El Paso too.
Shit....thank God for google. I was a freshman in high school! In 1979, UTEP beat UNLV 17-15. UNLV finished the season 9-1-2. That was their last “good” OOC win. Was here in El Paso too.

So is this an indictment about how bad UTEP football is, or a glimmer of hope for this season? In 1979, UTEP beat UNLV 17-15. UNLV finished the season 9-1-2. That was their last “good” OOC win. Was here in El Paso too.
Damn, you are really, really old. I was only in 7th grade! 😁Shit....thank God for google. I was a freshman in high school!
Both. It shows that we can do things competently but it’s also not going to be pretty. Teams that have strong run defenses or quick, high powered offenses will still beat us, but at least we showed some lifeSo is this an indictment about how bad UTEP football is, or a glimmer of hope for this season?
Hell, he ain’t old. I had been out of high school ( Bbbur ggges, Burges) for three years.Damn, you are really, really old. I was only in 7th grade! 😁
Great era and time to grow upHell, he ain’t old. I had been out of high school ( Bbbur ggges, Burges) for three years.
Give credit to the coaching for that very turnaroundThe thing that I saw vs Boise was a dominant performance by both the offensive and defensive lines. I have not seen that from UTEP in a long time. Hopefully they keep building on this success. After what I witnessed in the UNM game this was quite a turnaround.
