Please no. The only west we should be going is to the MW.
I am not suggesting those schools join. I think the question was IF CUSA looked west what programs would be available.

I know but why even entertain Fili? Moving west FCS schools to FBS is bad for UTEP/NMSU. I hope they work together to keep everyone west of them out of CUSA. Any western programs only add more competition for our entrance to the MW.I am not suggesting those schools join. I think the question was IF CUSA looked west what programs would be available.
Liberty by far! They have BYU money, they have had the most consistent football. Have good facilities and getting better and have been consistent in Basketball too. I'd put it in this area factoring in Football, Basketball, Facilities, Money and Potential.Who would you say are the leaders of the new CUSA??
What dont you get about , Mountain West doesn't want Utep?? CUSA wants UTEP so, Utep and NMSU need to take lead. Make a conference to challenge the Mountain West. C USA west coast needs to happen.I know but why even entertain Fili? Moving west FCS schools to FBS is bad for UTEP/NMSU. I hope they work together to keep everyone west of them out of CUSA. Mountain West has stated time and time again and I quote..... "We are not looking to add Athletic Programs with crooked roads and upstairs weight rooms"Well if they spend 50 million to move the weight room downstairs and widen Glory Road, surely UTEP would be attractive to MWC.
🤣🤣🤣Mountain West has stated time and time again and I quote..... "We are not looking to add Athletic Programs with crooked roads and upstairs weight rooms"
SFA. That should be number 10. Hopefully UTEP has a CUSA championship season with attendance to match while the MWC loses one to the Big12 and UTEP finally gets the call.So who does CUSA add??
You know Fili, you might be on to something. What dont you get about , Mountain West doesn't want Utep?? CUSA wants UTEP so, Utep and NMSU need to take lead. Make a conference to challenge the Mountain West. C USA west coast needs to happen.
But Montana could be a MWC candidate if boosted to fbs by CUSA. I do like the Dakota schools and Missouri St if any of them are interested.Give me the Dakota schools and Montana. Three possible future contenders for the Access Bowl.
So could UTEP if we get our shit together. But Montana could be a MWC candidate if boosted to fbs by CUSA.
Yep, shit together could already be in process and then we need an opening. So could UTEP if we get our shit together.
What better way to become attractive than by beating the teams they might target.Yep, shit together could already be in process and then we need an opening.
ETSU would be a nice. They got deep pocket boosters. My guess is 3 teams to make 12. Would love Texas St. in San Marcos, but CUSA has no leverage, unless they throw a ton of money with teams exit fees, but that isn't smart so they won't come
SFA
E. Kentucky
E. Tennessee St.
Those are of course just guesses.
According to MattBrown, of the Athletic, CUSA is focused on EKU right now. Kind of looks like the conference may be going to 12 before long.My guess is 3 teams to make 12. Matt Brown works for Extra Points, well himself, and not the Athletic.According to MattBrown, of the Athletic, CUSA is focused on EKU right now. Kind of looks like the conference may be going to 12 before long.
Championship games between divisions are money.Unless it's someone too good to pass up, stay at 9. It's nice for football and scheduling. Make the teams use the 2 "extra" OOC basketball games on likely high NET opponents. Larger slice of the distribution pie. Don't add for the sake of adding.
Honestly, how much could CUSA 4.0 make for a conference football championship game? I don’t think enough to warrant shuttling 3 more schools around for Olympic sports.Championship games between divisions are money.
Makes sense, I had said back when this was hot and heavy they'd probably be the 10thAccording to MattBrown, of the Athletic, CUSA is focused on EKU right now. Kind of looks like the conference may be going to 12 before long.
You no longer have to have divisions to have a championship game.Championship games between divisions are money.
