Damn, both those teams have some boys who can easily start for some FBS playing time.
YS is a good FCS team. Why don't they try to move up to FBS?
Now that makes sense. Those Rust Belt states are really hurting.Jim Tressel is the president at YSS. He won four 1-AA national championships from before leaving to take the Ohio State job.
YSI has always been a fcs power. They dont move to fbs because they are in a very economically depressed area. Ohio already has 8 CBS schools there is really not room for another one. YSU has a nice niche in FCS. They're a traditional power. They get better recruits than most MAC neighbors. They attract alot of FBS transfers. They would struggle with finances in the FBS. Their major donor is eddie debartolo who used to go to own the 49ers. He didnt go to YSU but he grew up in Youngstown.
Pelini isnt leaving YSU unless and attractive power five 5 school comes calling. Hes had trouble with AD's and presidents. He has a great relationship with Tressel they understand each other. I think hes at YSU for the long haul.
