Stick a fork in NMSU. They might as well have gotten the NCAA death penalty
They will be fine. Kids won’t care about it once a new coach is there and the ass and scrotum slappers are gone.
Not a good look for Moccia that his boss fired his coach.
It’s going to be embarrassing if we can’t sweep them next season. Sadly they just have to get to the average/bad level to be on par with UTEP.
How long before student sections start heckling the NMSU players with comments like that?

Heckling only happens to NMSU players? NMSU players were never heckled before? Why would it bother you if those heckles have nothing to do with you?
Exactly. Which is why they won’t have any problems getting players. Only limited by whoever the new coach is.
Is there a "show cause" for Heiar? It's a tough penalty no coach wants but if not, he will be back soon. McCarthy got hit with it in the 90's and it was nothing like this?

I don't think the NCAA has issued any penalties yet. NMSU shut down voluntarily and is still conducting its own investigation.
I don’t think he’ll be back in D1 as a HC anytime soon if ever.
He finished his NMSU career at 9-15. Nice homage to EP.
What exactly would the NCAA do anyway? This was an act by players. They already fired the coach. They might get a slap on the wrist, but there’s no way they get harsh penalties.
Unless the athletics department tried to cover up stuff, they likely won’t get any punishment.
Well, let’s see what comes out about NMSU’s actions after the shooting.
I read the details of what they did to that kid. Apparently they sexually assaulted him countless times both at NMSU and while on the road. The other players sat and watched
