At the end of the day… Utep is better off than where we were. So now our concern can be about being competitive in the new MWC. No one can argue though it was the right time to get out of CUSA and having UNM, Wyoming, UNLV, Nevada, Air Force, Hawaii, etc… is more appealing than what we’ve had prior. On the Basketball side we now at least have a shot at being in a multibid league.

Do you think Texas fans care? They are in a very tough stretch of their schedule. I can see them losing 4 of next 5. I can be wrong, but I don't see Terry back next year.

Bynum seems to be prone to foul trouble and has fouled out in some games. Golding might be keeping him on the bench to have at the end of games. But, there have been times when he could have been in games at the end but wasn't. So, I dunno!
Barnes has been really good at 3s this year. Especially lately.

I have been watching some Aggie games this week. Here's what I got:
1. Aggies foul like crazy. We'll be in the bonus early.
2. They don't play much team ball and can't brag about assists. They've got a couple or really good guards who penetrate and shoot 3s.
3. Their 7 footer isn't great. He gets rebounds, blocks and gets easy buckets but he's easy to get around.
4. They have a good forward, Filipovich(sp?). He loves to dribble and might be prone to getting his pocket picked with Goldings defense. We'll see. He's really good at bumping his way under the basket and putting up easy shots. Kalu's gonna have to hold his ground.
5. They are a scrappy bunch. They start slow and turn on the heat as they warm up. They will fight hard when the going gets tough.
6. They're not very deep.

Conference realignment makes little to no sense when you look at where schools are going. It sounds like money is the deciding factor.

I was looking at the louisville schedule and there opponents, they have already beaten North carolina, virginia, clemson, and florida st. damn only if utep would have beaten them they would have been ranked higher

I think having NIU on the MWC side, kinda tilts it in favor of the MWC. It definitely won’t have the gap they currently do.

I listened to the NIU press conference and they kept mentioning the House settlement and NIL as reasons why they joined the MWC. I would guess they believe the MWC will be financially better off than staying in the MAC.

Big 10 has been Midwest schools but don’t think Eugene Oregon is in Michigan

Their football program pales in comparison to us so I wouldn’t be nitpicking
