Nor do I. Even though I toss a joke out at his expense on occasion, any hard feelings I had towards Floyd left when he did.

Tim gave the Mayor some substantial money during the El Paso mayoral campaign, IMO, this is a thank you rather than a deserving award.

Can't fool me with this award crap, good ole' boys doing good ole boy things out in the West Texas Town of El Paso.....

I was his biggest supporter for the first few years then it began to fade quickly. I won't criticize his efforts. He loved UTEP, it's history, it's players and El Paso. He wanted to succeed more than you or me, but it just didn't work for a lot of reasons. I know it tore him to pieces, leaving like he did and all of the same people that wanted him gone are the same people that complain about him leaving. Can't have it both ways folks! He tried, he failed, he left... in the midst of constant harassment from most of you and me as well. I think we should try to appreciate his efforts and loyalty and it's time let him have some peace. It was time for a change, but for God's sake let bygones be bygones.

Agree. After happily welcoming CTF back to EP, I became one of his earliest and most outspoken critics. But I also remember the TF who was a helluva recruiter under Haskins, and one of the best up and coming coaches in the game at the time.

I am glad he is gone, but I also wish him well.
