I don't think our football players are as bad as the score indicated today. I think the major problem with the football program is our coaching. I think it's horrible. I'm not claiming to be an Xs and Os expert, but I really think that UTEP has average players with below average coaches who don't put the best players on the field and dont put the players in a position to succeed. I also have a hunch that the players on the team know this and alot of them have given-up or quit the team. I continue to see the same predictable, one dimensional play calling that generates only 8 points per game. I see a head coac and his staff who refuses to implement a vertical passing game despite averaging 1.1 yards per run. I see a stubborn head coach who refuses to play his potentially best quarterback because he continues to be in his doghouse. I think this misery of a season is only going to get worse until at the very least our OC and DC are replaced.
