Negative trend regarding Kugler's UTEP teams.

After tonight, this trend is now 4 for 4. UTEP plays 1 money game each season at a P5 school. Not only have Kugler's teams lost the money game against the P5 teams, as expected, but Kugler's teams have then also gotten absolutely blasted the week after they have played these money games. This has happened every season that he has been here:

2013 - Played Money Game at Texas A&M. The following week, they lost 41-7 to North Texas.
2014 - Played Money Game at Kansas State. The following week, they lost 55-3 to La. Tech.
2015 - Played Money Game at Arkansas. The following week, they lost 69-20 to Texas Tech(Home & Home Series, not a Money Game)
2016 - Played Money Game at Texas. The following week, they lost to Army 66-14.

During Kugler's 4 seasons, UTEP has lost by a combined score of 231-44 in the 4 games that have been played the week after UTEP played their annual money game against a P5 school.

On the flip side UTEP is 3-0 after suffering those blowout losses. Beat FIU in 2013, ODU in 2014, NMSU in 2015. Hopefully UTEP makes it 4 out of 4 and starts conference play 1-0 with a key victory over one of the favorites to win the West.
