Congrats to Mexico, the new CONCACAF champs. They made it a priority to win the Gold Cup and they put together the best team of the tournament and won it. The USA did not put together a serious team and they finished about where they deserved. Panama was the better team and earned their place in the final.
I have to give credit to Panama; I thought Mexico would have an easier time with them, but the game remained tied until nearly the end of the 2nd half. They're pretty plucky for a nation of 4 million people. And now we know the level of play in MLS is to lose on penalty kicks to Panama.
