Most 1st division leagues in the world have like 20 teams, MLS now has 29, so what is the maximum MLS will have ? is there a limit ?
As many as their media partners will tell them and have owners willing to pay hundreds of millions, along with some city willing to waste public money on a stadium.
If MLS is gonna have like around 35 teams they could create an 20 teams 1st Division and a 15 Team 2nd Division with an Ascending and Descending system like the rest of the world. You could have the top players in those 20 teams, that way they would be far more competitive internationally speaking. And the other not so good players in the other 15 teams.
They are not going to do that. Pro/Rel is not ever something MLS will consider. None of the other pro leagues here have pro/rel.
