Tyler Batson (picture) graduated, and is participating in pro day, Dimel will have Canales run the football. He's happy to be going to a passing league. That is if he makes it, he has a long shot at the NFL even being an undrafted free agent.

Pretty sure, based on various interviews with Canales, that UTEP will be passing a good deal more this season. Canales has said this will be a fast paced offense and the RB's are going to need to catch the ball. Also the QB's are going to have to be mobile. 4 WR's were recruited and 0 RB's. Running will be important but even that will be based on spread formations. Metz said in a recent interview that he has not taken a snap under center so far. All shotgun.
