In 3 carries Awatt again looks so much better and is more effective than Fields.
Tell me why the **** Awatt doesn’t get more action. Nice drive Miners!!
Finally more of Awatt, less of Fields. Hankins looked dinged up.
Best drive in a decade! 99 yds impposed our will on the defense.
We've only been saying this for weeks now.
And still no answer as to why. Hopefully today is a breakout day for him. It would be great to see a lot more of him today.
One big difference in that drive with Awatt was that we ran inside zone out of the Pistol. When you run inside with a back left or right the ball can only go in one direction unless the QB is a threat to pull and run. By sticking to the pistol, it doesn't give the defense a direction to call their strength
Gotta reward Fields loyalty for leaving the team. Only explanation I can think of.
They must have said he was lined up offsides because he didn't look like he came off early.
Wow, from an interception, to a bad offsides call, to a late half TD drive. Instead of possible being up 2 scores it'll be a tie game SMH
Stop complaining to the officials Healy. If we didn’t get bogus calls that wouldn’t be a td.
So it should have been either loss of down or a 5 yard penalty. Either or. Neither happened. Basically they got a do over.
Another wasted time out by the offense, after a kickoff return no less.
I don't get the long developing plays right there. You're trying to get into field goal range. Hits the quick outs and slants.
Can Dimel challenge the no timeout? There was 1 second on the clock when down, and I would have to think a coach was immediately calling a timeout? Can that be challenged?
I don't think our kicker can make anything beyond the 30-yard line.
That offsides was tough, went back and it watched it and nobody jumped, they must have said that he lined up offsides. Our coaches need to make sure that lining up offsides never happens again, without that penalty we would probably be up two scores at half-time.
Also, Cowing needs to be smarter and go down as soon as he catches it. Instead he fights for unnecessary yardage and the clocks runs out.
We need to stop with the stupid mental mistakes.
Overall though, even if we lose, this game has fully proven to me that we are a much improved football team.

Yeah, I didn't see anybody jump either. The Miners showed blitz and then dropped back the blitzers; maybe one of them lined up offsides.
