No one open and throw to other end and let Rice grad it to come down with 3 seconds or some Miner player was supposed to be streaking down but blew their assignment. I think it was the latter.
Screens were weak and Bienemy and Boum were going to same spot which allowed Rice to D up 3 on 2.
Yep. I get the logic of the play, but that was some really poor execution. Fiedler nearly hit the miracle shot.
I don’t understand why we got away from going to Sibley. He was backing his defender down and created some good looks from close in. He isn’t going to make them all, but he makes more than he misses.
Golding: Satterfield was supposed to get the inbound on the second attempt. He didn’t.
Yep. Sibley had a big mismatch against Mullins. They should have kept feeding the freshman. I think Golding also got a bit too confident with his bench guys in the first half when they had the lead. I understand trying to build depth, but it nearly cost them the game.
I listened to the post game interview. Wow...take a breath, Joe. The dude is high octane.
My only guess is that he was experimenting with some different combos because we’ll need some fresh legs the deeper we go into the tourney.
I’m with you though. It almost cost us the game. Probably was a better time to make those subs, and maybe fewer at a time so that not all rhythm is lost.
Good game. I felt like Bienemy put the team on his back as a point guard. He probably should have even had a few more assists as his teammates just missed some shots. As always, our rebounding wasn't great and we need to get to the line more. Despite all of that I think we played good team basketball tonight and it started with Bienemy. Good win, see you Saturday

We MUST get to the line more.
I officially hate our defense where our big nearly comes all the way out to half court to defend a guard. It tires out our bigs and leaves the lane wide open.
Our blocking out is bad and our bigs are usually out of position for defensive rebounding.
I wish CJG would let the team offensive rebound. It's non existent.
Kennedy played really well off the bench. I just wished he had thrown it down on that steal on the fast break late in the 2nd half. Crowd would have gone crazy.
Boum is hitting big shots late.
JB snakes into the lane and then bangs his layups off the backboard way too hard. 10 assists though!
Onyema played a fabulous 3-4 minute stretch there in the 2nd half. I liked the pick and role and inbound lob attempt. He forced 3 fouls on Feidler in about 45 seconds. Let's get him 15 minutes coach?
