On our first defensive drive, UAB ran the ball nearly every single down. We remained in a 3 d-line formation on almost every play and just got ran over. I have no idea why we don’t play a 4 d line formation?, especially against a back-up QB that barely threw for 100+ yards last week.

Also, our defense is still struggling with the bootleg pass on the one time that it was run n the first drive. We were absolutely terrible against the bootleg pass last week.

FWIW, we started a true freshman(Byers) at Right Tackle today. We actually started 2 freshman on the right side of the O-line today and 2 sophomores on the left side of the O line.

Shit, I should have stayed with UAB putting up 52 rather than lowering it to 42 in my prediction. Me thinks it’s gonna be a long day for this Miner team.

We just don't have enough of the talent needed to compete. Hopefully, the kids' CD has brought in will help to alleviate the issue.

UAB has already run for 138 yards in the first quarter, yet we are going to stay in our 3 d-line formation and continue to get run over.

Honestly, we deserve what we get if we are going to be so stupid.

Yet, another slow start from Dimel's team. Down 17-0 in the 1st quarter.

This is happening about 140 miles to the west of Birmingham, AL in Starkville, MS ( MS State).

No one's in the stadium because everyone in Alabama is tuned into a radio or TV because Tua is injured. He's got hip and nose injury. Bama's championship future is over. All over!

“UAB is controlling the line of scrimmage” and “running at will” according to the announcers........while UTEP remains in its 3 d line formation and continues to get run over.

And the bootleg action continues to be an embarrassment for our defensive coaching staff, as the lead blocker on the last bootleg was “just looking for people to block” as him and the QB are running 5 yards down field.

Interesting that UAB chooses to pressure our young QB....while UTEP chooses to sit back on defense and both not take away the running game and also not pressure their QB.

Definitely brings a little more hope for next season watching Hardison go to work right before half. With 2 and a half more games this year and an entire offseason under his belt he can only improve. Locks in my opinion plateaued long ago and has reached the height of his ability as a quarterback. Hardison hopefully can continue to improve.

So I mistakenly thought the game started at 1:00. I see UTEP is getting their asses handed to them again. Enjoy the weekend peeps.

Hardison brings us all the way down the field and the coaches take the ball out of his hands. Then put it back on him 4th down. UTEP stopping themselves, again. Should have taken the FG. Now we gave lost all momentum.

Why does the special teams coach allow the kick returners to run it out after receiving the ball 5 yards deep in the end zone? Talk about contributing to bad starting field position.

I like the calls to go for it on fourth down but those gambles aren’t paying off for us.
We should have never had too. The wildcat is trash when you know what's coming. So here we come again. Let's see if the playcalling doesn't foul it up.

Hardison should have been playing after the UTSA game. Dismel is trash. He needs to be gone ASAP

Nice fake. Need more trickery the last 3 games

Hardison would have quite a few more completions if these receivers would look for the ball. Seems as if they are unaccustomed to a quarterback who can throw.

Now we go for the FG so we can be down 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter (instead of down 2 with momentum in the 3rd quarter)?

We do some weird things, have you ever seen so many receivers running routes and not looking for the football? We had a pass hit a WR the helmet and then on the very next play it hit our TE in the arm.....neither play looked like the receiver had any idea that they were running pass routes?
