Terms of the deal were not disclosed per team policy, but it is believed to be for a two-way or training camp deal only.
Making the Grizzlies’ final roster may seem like a tall order for Hunter, but he definitely has a chance to do so, especially with their lack of power forwards. JaMychal Green remains their only natural at the four spot, as Zach Randolph is no longer with them. However, one thing that might not go his way is the team having some players who have the ability to play multiple positions, and the roster already nearing the maximum of 15 guaranteed contracts.
If Hunter’s deal is that of the two-way variety, the Grizzlies will have the option to send him to the G-League to gain more experience, and still own his rights.
