Head coaches make significantly more money than the Athletic Director.
Nick Saban makes $7 million per year (AD there probably makes around $1 million)
Kugler probably makes twice as much as Stull.

Must be nice to make 240k and have no pressure and your boss doesn't care what you do. And then if people start questioning performance , you just tell everyone it could be worse. Stull is going to be here another 8 years.
