We got 14 steals, but we gave up 48 points to 2 guys and gave up 55% shooting!!
That's what wrong with this defense 😒

That’s two games in a row, the only two I can remember lately where Jones has played a significant amount of minutes, where he averages almost a point per minute. He also actually moves from spot to spot to at least attempt to rebound. He alters shots that he isn’t blocking. I don’t know what more he has to do to get 20+ minutes on the court. He deserves it as much as the guys who do get those kind of minutes.Jones had 2 blocks, 3 rebounds and 10 points playing a whopping 12 minutes.
Why not play more of the forwards together and let Frazier guard down some if needed?
I have to think if Jones continues to play like the last two games, he will continue an upward trend in terms of minutes. Last night, he got 13 minutes, while Kalu got 22, and Hamilton had 12. I thought it was a good sign that Jones backed up Frazier when he was getting a breather. In that lineup, you had Jones at the 4 paired with Hamilton/Kalu. Jones was also at the 5, when Frazier was in the lineup. Ultimately, I could see Jones grabbing some of Hamilton's minutes, but he has to continue stacking games like the previous two. That’s two games in a row, the only two I can remember lately where Jones has played a significant amount of minutes, where he averages almost a point per minute. I agree about By Bynum’s bone headed turnovers. I think he had 4 before the first half ended. Stepping out of bounds TWICE is inexcusable. Also, what’s up with the ball slipping out of his hands, twice now, while going up for “uncontested” shots? This was his poorest outing, imo.I have to think if Jones continues to play like the last two games, he will continue an upward trend in terms of minutes. On Hebb, that is a baffling one indeed. WKU's (Lander and McHenry, in particular) gameplan was obvious: Attack Hebb off the dribble. Now, WKU was successful against other UTEP guards beside Hebb, but they really went after Hebb. You would think once Camper gets back, Hebb's minutes will drop. I also think Bynum has done himself no favors due to turnovers, poor shot selection, and some not so great defense. Thing is, you get alot of the same negatives with Hebb, but without the instant offense Bynum brings.
Well I guess that rules out last year's argument that Jones got less playing time due to supposed poor defense.I have to think if Jones continues to play like the last two games, he will continue an upward trend in terms of minutes.
