UTEP volleyball looked tough often vs GCU. The starters took 2 of 3 and the set they lost was close. Freshmen lost a close one to GCU freshmen.
Volleyball is the only sport not embarrassing us. Too bad it can't get us into a better conference.
Agreed. Men shouldn't be playing women's volleyball.

Great job so far by Wallis. He didn’t need the usual 4-6 season “free pass” to build. I never thought I would attend more volleyball games than I do UTEP football and basketball games.
Second season was the first winning season, from his bio in UTEPs site:
“In Wallis' second year as head coach (2020-21), UTEP secured its first winning season since 2012 as well as won its first conference tournament match since 2008 as a No. 2 seed – its highest seeding since 1984.”
If we’re honest, no one went to games (outside of school groups, etc) and tickets were given out free so it’s more impressive having to start from literally scratch
Damn! These ladies are rolling. Aren’t they 14-2, or something like that? (Yes, I know I could do a quick search but I’ll let someone who knows answer instead)
16-2 now. Hopefully they can get past WKU this year, and make the NCAA Tournament. The conference tourney is in El Paso this year, so hopefully they can take advantage.
Outstanding. Hopefully it was the highest in all of CUSA and the state of Texas.
