UTEP run game is starting to wear down HBU defense. Now can the Miner defense shut down the HBU no huddle offense?
I don’t get why they would go to a 3 man from front, especially if they lack talent on the line. You’re asking more of those guys.
Even without Wadley I’m guessing the run game is going to be the identity of this team the rest of the year...
I am a believer in Jones, but tonight he has been very reminiscent of Ryan Metz...

HBU pistol no huddle offense is setting the blueprint for the remaining 11 opponents on UTEP’s schedule. The Miners simply can’t handle it.
And I’m tired of saying El Paso doesn’t show up. There are 35k in the stands to see a team that has won one game in the last 2 yrs and has an 11 game home losing streak. El Paso shows up - UTEP does not.
Those plucky Miners staying in the game against powerhouse HBU. Are they related to the great HEB?
True, it's almost free... Even more so impressive, that people chose to go. They could have changed their mind. It wouldn't have been a big deal with losing $5 bucks... So kudos EP
Right when they rotated the D-Linemen they got the fumble.
I don’t care about the price of the tickets, fact of the matter is fans are seeing a good game and if UTEP pulls this off it may be beneficial down the road. The crowd made a difference for the team in a couple of situations.

If the Miners can score a TD here I think that seals it.
Love it that we trusted Jones to make the throw to convert! One more conversion and we can take the victory formation.
Can we find someone to replace Bernie for color on broadcasts? If I have a couple of beers, his mushmouth makes things really confusing. Bernie seems to be in rough shape today.
We didn't loose but we didn't impress...by any means. Barely pulled it out.
For tonight, I'll just be happy that:
- We won.
- We were able to put up 36 points.
- Great crowd!
Don’t know if it was our bad defense, but if it was against any other team I would have enjoyed watching Houston’s offensive. Their quarterback was damn accurate and receivers went after the ball. Really not to impressive running, but when your having such success with the pass why run?

This is not the same HBU we played a few year ago. Their QB was the real deal. My hats off to HBU for the challenge.
UTEP faces the same offense next week but their qb is a Dan Marino side arm gun slinger which poses a different challenge just like a "Southpaw" pitcher in baseball.
Linebackers for HBU couldn't bring down Hughes. Tech's LB were quicker against Montana State. Tech secondary was suspect against Montana State. UTEP's WR have speed as compared to Montana State. Up to Dimel and Canales if they use this to their advantage.

Yes. I watched it last night. But it starts where it started online which was before the half.
I really liked HBU's offense, wish UTEP would run something like that.
