C-USA without FIU & FAU would have been reputable.

Adding these 2 schools diluted the product. What is the point in having 2 schools that contribute nothing, and that receive welfare from the rest? I'm not sold on Middle Tenn either but I can live with them. IMO C-USA should have only expanded to 12, and left the F_U's in the sun belt. C-USA would have more respect without those 2. Now that UAB might be on it's way out, let's hope we stay put and don't add anymore bottom feeders.

Basketball is not a factor in realignment its all about football. FAU has a brand new stadium fiu just completed a multi million dollar renovation of their stadium. Both schools are committed to football and more importantly give the eastern schools access to the fertile recruiting grounds of South Florida. For g-5 schools it doesnt pay to invest in basketball. Nobody cares about basketball attendance or basketball results. Its all about football. Just look at UCONN four national championships in the last twenty years the most successful program of the last twenty years and they cant get into a power five conference. You want to succeed in the current climate you concentrate on football and dump your money into it, basketball be damned.

I agree. MTSU, Charlotte, WKU and ODU are all great bball additions. Those additions, in my view, ,make us a stronger bball conference then when we had memphis. Problem is the bottom of CUSA is just horrible I would love to get rid of the F_U's. Same goes for UTSA if it wasnt for their football. So only the F_U's. Our conference RPI would be so much better for it.

Strongly disagree. You do realize that FIU finished with higher RPI than UNT, Rice, UTSA, USM and Marshall this year right?

Last year, FIU finished with higher RPI than Tulane, ECU, Marshall, UTSA, and Rice.

Maybe we should get rid of Marshall and Rice. FAU just sucks.

Anyone that thinks CUSA is stronger for losing Memphis, doesn't know what they're talking about. Memphis was always in the Top 25 and brought the conference some national attention. This league is awful. We lost SMU, Houston, and Tulsa anyone who thinks that losing them and replacing with ODU and WKU doesn't know sports.

Year ending RPI for teams I discussed:

CUSA:
FIU 216
FAU 303

ODU 45
LA Tech 56
WKU 116
MTSU 137
Charlotte 209

AAC teams we lost:
SMU 12
Tulsa 46
Memphis 83
Tulane 214
ECU 220
Houston 239
UCF 256

Hahaha Ill give you that SMU is kicking ass right now. Not so much when they were at CUSA but ill play along with this season. Tulsa had a n alright year too (comparable to la tech or ODU). However overall we improved as a conference if we don't have FIU and FAU. I know that FIU did better than some our texas teams but those teams have decent football and football trumps all. The teams that suck ballz at everything are the F_U's. So im sorry if I don't know sports but I do understand math. The overall math is that we are better at bball with our new members minus the F_U's. If you'd like to go back to Memphis and the 11 dwarfs thats okay. I'll leave now since I don't understand sports at all.

I agree- I would much rather be with Memphis and actually have a chance at least a 2 bid league.

I will say that the middle of the league is better now, but the bottom is awful. That's why the conference is not seen as a good league.
