We beat Hawaii in the first round of the WAC Tournament, but then the next day we had to forfeit that win because Kevin Beal played in the game and had been declared ineligible. Hawaii got to advance even though they lost and we finished as one of only 3 teams in the nation to end that season with a win in our final game(of course the win did not officially count due to forfeit).

I assume that is what FeralFelidae is referring to.

Sly Johnson was the name of the Wyoming player. Beal bloodied his mouth with that right hook after Johnson went after little Jeff Spillar, who was not only Beal's teammate, but also his best friend.
