Announced today that University of Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver has been named First Team All-America (SB Nation) and the winner of the 2016 Bill Willis Award, symbolizing the best defensive lineman in the nation. Oliver is the first pure freshman to be named the best defensive lineman in the nation. Let that marinate for a moment.

Jalen Hurtz, Alabama QB, has led the Crimson Tide to an undefeated, #1 ranked season and likely the national championship.

Point? Both of these young men are pure freshmen from the City of Houston. Doesn't matter if you're P5, G5, or Car 54, if you ain't camped out in Houston, you ain't recruiting football players.

Get yourself a football coach that can recruit Houston and the State of Texas!

You can't compare Houston and Alabama to Utep. Both those schools have winning seasons . so for sure they are going to get some individual awards. Those true freshman are playing with other good freshman.
