Was waiting all game for UTEP to make a run and take a double digit lead, FAU is a bad team, UTEP shoulda won this game by 10.
Nobody wants this. Reality is not an excuse.
Boum and Bryson both missed critical free throws. Same as Kansas, Can't make a clutch shot.
But Terry let's them do whatever they want and gives everyone the green light, never benches anyone for lack or effort or poor shot selection....hence no mental toughness.

It's a game of chicken, and to call a charge, THE PLAYER HAS TO BE SET.
That's the rule.
A team coming back from down 4 with a minute left would have hardly been a miracle. I've seen it happen a number of times. But for this team it would have been a miracle, and we didn't have it in us. Again we fold under Terry in the stretch

Our biggest problem, again: we don't make a shot from the field in the last several minutes of the game. I've never seen a team with such an inability to put the ball in the basket for so many long periods of time. Another crappy March for Miner fans.
Tonight the refs were as horrible as our athletic department.
Almost 7 minutes without a basket to end the game, I think.
Refs were bad but no excuses for this loss. We were really knocked out of the FIRST round of the CUSA tournament by FAU. F.A.U. Wow.

We got owned by a Latvian. He owned the court despite fouling out late.
Final Thoughts: Utep should have never let this game be so close. However this was a terrible and obviously bad called game by the refs that favored FAU in Key moments, especially the ghost out of bounds on Williams that should've been a 3 point play. Lastly I think Terry and Utep underachieved with the talent they had. I hope Williams comes back and next year is much better, but not holding my breath.
CRT is upset in post game show by missed 2 foot call called on Williams but the offense missed chances.
Gosh, he just beat FIU and Charlotte and almost beat Kansas. Give him some credit!!!!
Every year he stays here is one year less of a professional basketball salary. I wouldn't advise him to return; he should go make his money while he's still in his prime.

To be fair to Terry, the game in game out 5 minute scoring drought is about the only UTEP basketball tradition we've had over the past decade. How we can have such continuity over two different regimes is beyond me.
