I think if he redshirts this year and graduates, he will still have two of eligibility. That makes him more marketable for schools who have NIL money to burn. Even schools like UTSA and Texas St. would offer more than UTEP that has zero NIL dollars for football. Bad for UTEP, but that will continue to be the case in terms of being able to keep guys. It's just "business", as they say.
