In the big picture we are spending way too much money on basketball. Hoops is in a one bid league the regular season is irrelevant. If football doesnt improve basketball will continue to fall farther down the conference pecking order. Basketball cant float or improve our conference situation. We are going to have to make big cuts to the basketball program to improve football. It will be painful in the short term buts its the only way to improve the football and basketball situation in the long term.
And I believe I responded to you, but I am sure you won't answer things you don't have answers to.
I never thought of it that way, but you are correct. I think basketball and football needs to be revamped. Bring in an up and coming assistant coach who is hungry for his first head coaching job and see what happens. If he leaves after he has success here, that's better than not having success at all.
Epsi already posted the answers to your same questions other times, but every time we ask you questions you leave. Not surprised at all.

Read slowly chi, I asked him that question for the 1st (first, primer vez) time a few days ago. How can you say I asked the same question over and over when it was asked for the first time? (Don't really want to know your answer by the way)

Epsi answered that question many times before and I reiterated his answers here and then asked you question. You don't have any answers because you know you're wrong. I don't answer it because this has nothing to do with UTEP basketball and derails the thread and I have already answered it. First of all your the one getting butt hurt and the last few posts are of you crying why I don't answer your question. I am a UTEP basketball fan and I want UTEP to be a basketball school once again. Thats why I follow basketball threads. This board is to discuss UTEP sports. I don't remember reading when I signed up that I only have to post homer positive thoughts. UTEP basketball sucks right now. Floyd has done jack crap in 5 seasons. I want UTEP basketball to take it up to the next level. Our current coach has been given the most resources in UTEP history for basketball. We have seen zero return on this investment. I was very happy when we hired Floyd. He has had average results. It seems like Floyd is more concerned with landing a bigger job than he is trying to take UTEP to the next level. I have no faith in the guy and I am just expressing it on the UTEP SPORTS MESSAGE BOARD. Then on top of that our AD is a washed up moron who sets no performance standards for out football and basketball programs. All Chi and I do are state the facts. We aren't making anything up. You guys just can't handle the truth.

Floyd took over a NCAA Tournament team. He didn't have to rebuild a mess like BG had to do. Everyone keeps saying BG, DOC, Barbee were only here to move on. So can anyone answer the question of why Floyd keeps interviewing for other jobs every season? ?? Everyone keeps saying Floyd is here to stay and build but keeps interviewing??? Can anyone comment for once on this?????

Those are some quality programs whose recent success I can only envy and heights I wish UTEP would ascend to.
That was my dream when Floyd was hired. I never imagined UTEP would go 5 years with zero appearances in the Big Dance.

Floyd is the one who doesn't want to be here. I wonder which job he will interview for this year after we turn down the CBI invite.
It's not speculation when multiple schools stated he interviewed for the job. You can see Floyd in the airport in the respective city the day they said he interviewed for the job and you still won't be convinced.
Google Tim Floyd interviews for Missouri job usc and Seton hall or De Paul. I forgot which one from the two. Plus after that scuffle with Enfield , Enfield stated Floyd was mad cause he didn't get the USC job and Enfield got it. Don't you think it was a strange coincidence Floyd was meeting with the USC AD when their basketball job was open to discuss what happened "when Floyd was there the first time".
And its funny every time Floyd is asked how long he plans to be here he dodges it and never says anything???
