The only people that have ever said that were the ones making excuses for the previous loser coaches.
Yikes. That is a huge loss. The defense was the only bright spot last season and kept us from having an even worse season.

Huge loss. I think they promote Co DC Sigler to DC if they are looking to keep some kind of schematic continuity. Wonder how many recruits we lose with him leaving
Any Coach, his dad was our former starting basketball center.
UTEP did make the list. It made the “hell no Im never going there” list.
There's been quite a few. Pete Shufelt's son Stratton is currently on the football roster. I remember another one during the Kugler era. Going waaaayyy back, Tiny Archibald's kid came here to play with Haskins but got cut. Lead to a whole lot of problems for CDH.

I have to give the UTEP coaching staff some kudos. My nephew coaches 2A football and UTEP was the first to offer their 2026 RB in January. Since then he has picked up an offer from Navy and K State, and I’m sure there will be more offers to come. He will be attending the spring game, so we will see what happens. But kudos for finding a small town prospect.
