Good Day for CUSA

Great OOC wins to teams in power conferences. I think UTEP has a chance to do that @ Texas Tech.
WKU beating Vandy at Vandy was a good win, not that Vandy is a good SEC team but still, they are in the SEC. FIU over UCF in Orlando was certainly a positive for C-USA but UCF is not in a power conference. C-USA was ranked ahead of the AAC at the end of last football season.

FIU was that dark horse of the dark horse schools of CUSA expected to turn a lot of heads this year. BTW, They're not a power conference like the traditional ones but they do have tie in's, unlike CUSA, to the top tier bowls.

By far UTSA was the Biggest Surprise in a loss to AZ. They were expected to lose by 5 TDs and made a great showing!

I agree UTSA was the most impressive. They racked up 540 yds of offense. Arizona fans are blaming it on the fact they lost their all american linebacker scooby wright in the first quarter. However Wright's absence had nothing to do with zona's secondary getting torched all night.

Watched most of the UTSA game and came away really impressed. Really good QB and well coached. This year won't be a repeat of last year...will be a battle at the Sun Bowl. Vandy is not the team they were the last two years, but still a very good win for Western Kentucky. FIU win over UCF was good for CUSA too. Would be nice to add to the good start for CUSA.
