While the characterization of all politicians might be a touch too far. It's definitely a vast majority.
Please list a few policies that Trump did that you believe we're good for the country. Not saying he didn't do anything good, just curious what you think were the good ones.

You see, your mindset is part of the problem. There has always been racist asshats. Probably always will be. However, people categorizing all white people as racists is infuriating. Growing up at Irvin way before Chapin, we had damn near every race. Race was NOT an issue as we were like family. To assume I have become racist over time is flat out stupid.
When Obama became president, there was a greater push on our country being racist. And after the blm crap, it got much worse.
Again, it didnt start with Obama. It was enlarged then.

Also, just because race wasn't an issue in your life doesn't equate to what others are feeling. The fact that you didn't see color tells me you weren't willing to see and understand the different America's people experience. I do hope you find some peace though. I was alive in the 40s and 50s and I can assure you that your statement is completely BS. There was vastly more racial division then than there is now.
It seems that the middle ground in politics has gone. There are ways to make most things better, but far leaning politicians and their supporters seem to want all or nothing now (both ways). Common sense negotiations have gone by the waste side.

No it isn't. My grandparents were born in the 30's and my parents were born in the 50's and 60's. They taught them the same thing what @Dmanminer said and they passed it on to me. This is why I don't see color when I associate with people.

Lay out what policies they set that you believe were good for our nation and let people debate those policies. For me, I think just the mere fact that I wake up not worrying about what Trump did that put my job or my life at risk is quite comforting.
