anyone have any updates on this player from Las Cruces? Sounds like a great player! ABQ article from December said we were recruiting him.

Late bloomer, led NM is blocked shots and rebounding. Was not a starter as a Junior at Onate but started to grow into his 6'7 frame. Onate lost in the final four 27-25 to Carlsbad and McCants was in foul trouble all game. I think he is probably a walk in candidate at this point, UTEP had a walk on from Onate a couple years ago who was also the top player in NM.
Tim Jacobs ended up at UNM and played a bit.....IMO McCants is better, however players in New Mexico are hard to gage and this applies to our redshirt Jones of Hobbs.
