Metz hit

Did not see Metz hit, but three of the most high profile, controversial targeting calls I've seen recently:
1) At Alabama LB hit on A&M WR literally bent the WR's facemask with crown of helment, appeared to meet textbook definition of targeting. Nothing.
2) At Texas DB hit yesterday on Baylor QB, again, appeared blatant targeting (one of several actually against Baylor QB), even TV announcers speculated Texas kid was gone.
3) Fla State hit last night on Clemson WR was least egregious of the three hits.
Results? Alabama and Texas players were not penalized, FSU player ejected.
Some really fluctuating interpretations of targeting rule these days...

Metz needs to slide. UTEP has no other good qb if he goes down. This tells me there is no team leadership. Great athletes, but no leaders. A good leader would go up to him in practice and quietly tell him in his ear that they need him for the long haul.
