I didn’t say I have sources lol I said I’m hearing lol I scour the web sometimes and know key words to put. So if I see it before it’s been posted yet whats wrong with sharing?I don’t have sources at Hawaii or the MW offices but I’m reading the same online.
So you must be reading the same information I am.I didn’t say I have sources lol I said I’m hearing lol I scour the web sometimes and know key words to put. So if I see it before it’s been posted yet whats wrong with sharing?

Yes, Hawaii is better than NMSU, Sac St, and Tarleton. That is not saying much though. And a 10th for stability. As much as I would like to leave NMSU behind (yes, I'm petty), I think they're coming too.
I agree with Natty that Hawaii is a good addition considering the other options.
You should know my style by now Fili.I didn't notice you were being sarcastic. It's not easy to notice sarcasm on this board.
You need to get views. I'm sure you'll get enough to go viral and retire. Easy money for you Fili. Go get paid. How much will I get paid if I do?
Good luck with that.Maybe the city of El Paso can start to nudge some airlines to get a direct flight to Hawaii? Even it's just once a week.

Slowly growing then Covid happened (ELP-CLT would’ve been great for connecting to Munich, and now BCN)https://www.flightsfrom.com/ELP
The list of direct flights from El Paso is slowly growing. Will they ever add flights to Mexico so we can finally live up to the International Airport title?
I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who doesn’t have anything new :sarcasm:Do any of you with sources have any updates on the 8th MWC member? All my sources at Miner Digs seemed to have dried up.
I don't have any "credentials" or "sources" but I believe we'll be staying up until 2 AM on Thursdays to watch basketball just like in the old days.Do any of you with sources have any updates on the 8th MWC member? All my sources at Miner Digs seemed to have dried up.

Hopefully it plays out where Hawaii goes all sports and N. Illinois Football only and St. Mary’s Basketball only. I believe the league could expect at least 4 million per school with that.Supposedly Hawaii will decide soon. Others are waiting. The MWC doesn’t want to take poop schools if they don’t have to. They have to basically wait until the Pac 12 makes their moves.
Someone explain to me why a MAC school would leave the MAC for football-only deal in the MWC? I don't think that makes any sense for themHopefully it plays out where Hawaii goes all sports and N. It only makes sense if you want to move up in status. The MAC mostly plays their games on ESPN+, on plays on weekdays in November. The MWC does not. That would be the only reason it’s attractive to them.Someone explain to me why a MAC school would leave the MAC for football-only deal in the MWC? I don't think that makes any sense for them
They’d probably get at least a percentage of the 4 million I’d say maybe 2 or 2.5 which would be more than they get for all spots in the MAC right now. Then the other sports could either stay MAC of the MAC allows them or joint another conference in other sports and still make money at least to break even for travel.Someone explain to me why a MAC school would leave the MAC for football-only deal in the MWC? There’s probably zero chance the MAC allows them (or Toledo) to stay without football. Remember, NIU left the MAC once already because they thought they were big time in the mid 80s. I don’t think they want to burn that bridge again. They’d probably get at least a percentage of the 4 million I’d say maybe 2 or 2.5 which would be more than they get for all spots in the MAC right now. Are you sure about that? I’ve read MAC schools make around 2/2.5 million per year right now. They’d probably get at least a percentage of the 4 million I’d say maybe 2 or 2.5 which would be more than they get for all spots in the MAC right now. I believe that’s right. I guess what I was saying if MWC could match or slightly increase that number for Football only and then they also make money in whatever other conference there other sports would compete in it might be doable. It’d be a long shot though and probably wishful thinking. Idk I just don’t want Tarleton St. for some reason. I do think Sac St. name will come up again though with both the MWC and PAC Whatever. Are you sure about that? I’ve read MAC schools make around 2/2.5 million per year right now.
Probably still negotiating subsidies for travel for all sports:
Reading between the lines, it sounds like the MWC hasn't extended an invite but Hawaii will accept if the invitation is extended. I'm not sure why this would take so long as they are the best of the available options.
I’m sure it’s just numbers. Hawaii probably wants a higher percentage from the teams leaving and doesn’t want to have to pay for teams to come to the islands.
And still looking for one moreHawaii full status confirmed.
Most of UH’s non-football sports will join Mountain West | Honolulu Star-Advertiser
Most of the University of Hawaii’s non-football sports will be joining the Mountain West, UH athletic director Craig Angelos confirmed on Monday night.www.staradvertiser.com
This says that they will look to add 2 MAC schools for football only still. Why not just bring them in outright? Creates more long term stability. And still looking for one more
They won’t bring them in outright because of travel costs and such. Hawaii games at NIU and Toledo for basketball, volleyball, and other sports are costly. This isn’t the Big Ten where they print money. This says that they will look to add 2 MAC schools for football only still. Why not just bring them in outright? Creates more long term stability.
I still don't understand why MAC schools would leave the MAC but if they can do it then they have more pull than I thought.
Don't think Toldeo OH or NIU care for the Hawaii travel in all sports....NIU could pull it off being 1 hour and change from ORD for football but maybe it's too much for allThis says that they will look to add 2 MAC schools for football only still.
