On the Bowl topic. My feeling is that we do have too many bowl games. We should never have to send a team with a losing record to a bowl game to fill a space. It dilutes the value and importance of bowl games. We would only have to cut a few lower tier bowls to do this. But there is an exception. A few years ago, Georgia Tech was in the Sun Bowl game with a 6-7 record. They had played in the ACC's championship game and lost. A mathematical oddity. People complained about it then, (including me), about how low the Sun Bowl was sinking. Georgia Tech played USC, which thought their shit didn't stink and were too good for El Paso. Georgia Tech thumped them 21-7, which I enjoyed the hell out of. But a team like that should be the occasional exception, not the rule.
