He was born in Richardson. Are you dumb?Lee Nguyen, Vietnamese

He was born in Carrollton you moronAnthony Ampaipitakwong is Thai
The list you put out is a bunch of Dallas Texans, from the few I searched don't even play in a real league.... Ho Chi Min second division?Still waiting for my list…. Not even sure what you’re talking about anymore. Will no longer respond.
I went through your entire list... I'm guessing you think "home grown" means they're from that city. You also have two 30 year olds and you were complaining about a 27 year old el paso player. You also have players that play in leagues lesser than USL. Dallas has some good soccer, but not El Paso soccer.... and we ain't even talked about Juarez yetWeston McKennie

I stopped there. All still playing
You claim to know soccer, but are only focused on part of their heritage. Lee Nguyen does play in Ho Chi Min or whatever, but he’s also older than Omar Salgado by 6 years. Your golden boy Salgado is already retired. He probably couldn’t even play in Ho Chi Min if he wanted to. Nguyen was born in Dallas and grew up there. He also played for PSV and many years in MLS. He also played for the US National team. And you claim to know soccer. The list you put out is a bunch of Dallas Texans, from the few I searched don't even play in a real league.... If you gonna add players like that
Memo Diaz
Joel Maldonado
Jimmy Villagomez
Edwin Villareal
Harrison Shaw.
The reason I bring up nguyen is because you dogged on a player from the list being 27 and then dogged on another player for being USL. Just showing you how stupid your statements are.You claim to know soccer, but are only focused on part of their heritage. Still waiting on my list.
You listed kids on the Locomotive academy lol. Where’s the ones playing in the NCAA?The reason I bring up nguyen is because you dogged on a player from the list being 27 and then dogged on another player for being USL. Just showing you how stupid your statements are.

Your list, consisted of 12 Dallas players (one who grew up in Colombia till he was 12 and one player who is playing in Ho Chim Min and by the way, he played for PSB you may be confusing them for PSG). That's with Dallas having an MLS team for 23 years and the locos only being in their 3rd season and Bravos only being in their 6th (notice, I didn't put no Juarez player on that list). Dallas metro area is like 8 times bigger than El Paso... El Paso is a lot more of a soccer town than dallas. Not even with the advantages that Dallas has over El Paso (MLS team and a lot bigger population)
salgado wasn't included in the list. What ya got? I bet you can find players in USISL or some other ho chi min team...You listed kids on the Locomotive academy lol. Where’s the ones playing in the NCAA?
Nguyen is still playing and was on the national team. Salgado is done. So your “brag” about him being the #1 pick in the MLS draft is no brag at all. Especially since he didn’t live up to his potential. If it makes you feel better please list the 34 year old El Pasoans that are still playing “high level” soccer. Though there are none, since you had to list Locomotive academy players on your list.
Again, you’re dumb as hell, as it doesn’t matter if they’re playing in Ho Chi Min when they’re older, as he played for PSV, MLS, and the National team. Not sure how you think Nguyen is invalid. I believe you’re just an idiot. Jesus Ferriera moved when he was 10 actually. So he’s lived there more than half his life. You can count players that moved to Dallas and Florida as El Paso, but not the other direction right?
Yes, Dallas is larger and should have more players than El Paso. Who is saying they don’t?
El Paso is more of a “soccer town” than Dallas, but can’t sell out 7,000 seats for a dominant, 1st place team. Okay.
You guys were acting like El Paso is a soccer hotbed with 3 good players with promise. That’s nice and El Paso should be proud, but nobody cares - at this moment. El Paso isn’t even close to having the amount of talent that Dallas and other big cities have. How many USL players have Dallas roots? Half of your list are USL players.
I’m done with this subject. I’m moving on.
Mostly EP players. I belive, Claudio Reyna played some matches in El Paso, both against El Paso players... UTEP club and the patriotsI remember that time the Patriots made the finals of the U.S. Open Cup.
I don’t think he played against UTEP club. He played for Virginia if I remember correctly. Helluva player. His son looks like he’s gonna be damn good too.Mostly EP players. I belive, Claudio Reyna played some matches in El Paso, both against El Paso players... UTEP club and the patriots
He didn't, it was calugiri that I was thinking of and he didn't play against the UTEP club either.... Collin Rock played against UTEP, he was crazy fastI don’t think he played against UTEP club. That was 95, the last open cup without MLS teams. Only 1 non-MLS team has won it since. 10 years later, the Patriots made the PDL (now USL League 2) National Final. 10 years after that, they were out of business and largely forgotten.I remember that time the Patriots made the finals of the U.S. Open Cup.
The owner of the patriots was Enrique Cervantes. His brother played for the patriots and then his son. After his son stopped playing, the team was disbanded. The team was kept together so that his son could still play soccer at a higher level. Patriots were the first team from USA to be sponsored by Nike. That was 95, the last open cup without MLS teams. I’m going to wait and see how these first 3 games go before I declare them “good”. 2026 does look promising though. This team is good and young. Can't wait for 2022, but imagine how good they may be in 2026?
We won the Gold Cup with the B-team.I’m going to wait and see how these first 3 games go before I declare them “good”. 2026 does look promising though.
And??? The US could win all the Gold Cups and Nations Leagues and Who Cares Cup, the only thing that matters is qualifying for the World Cup.We won the Gold Cup with the B-team.

Canada was missing Jonathan David and Alphonso Davies. Mexico was missing some of their better players too.
I have to remind you of what you said earlier. Which one is it?Mexico hasn’t missing that many. When was the last time Raul Jimenez played? JJ Macias just moved to Getafe. Andres Guardado is 34. Diego Lainez barely plays at Betis. So 4 players?
Looks like he does have community ties and family living in the El Paso/Juarez area. Imagine that.

When did I say he wasn’t from the area? That post doesn’t say they still live there. Could they? Sure.Looks like he does have community ties and family living in the El Paso/Juarez area. Imagine that.
Which ones? and how many was the USMNT missing?Mexico was missing some of their better players.
Says the guy that said Lee Nguyen never played for PSV - though you deleted the post. Or calls Austin a town. Also says El Paso has all these pro players, but listed boys playing for the Locomotive academy and no NCAA players.I don't know who has to do more backtracking, politicians or nowins? But he knows soccer
He's 18 you dip shitWhen did I say he wasn’t from the area? That post doesn’t say they still live there. Could they? Sure.
My whole point was that he’s not popular here and hasn’t given back to the city or embraced it like Aaron Jones and Khalid have - yet.
