OT: Former El Pasoan/UTEP Grad. possibility for Vice President.

This is not intended to be a Political thread, or a fight about which side is right, who is wrong, etc. I just simply saw this and thought it was somewhat interesting since it involves a UTEP Graduate. Susana Martinez was born in El Paso, she graduated from both Riverside High School and UTEP. She is currently the Governor of New Mexico and according to Las Vegas Odds, she currently has the 4th best odds to become the Vice Presidential Candidate for the Republicans. For the record, she has apprently said that she is not interested.

She is not a Trump supporter. While she has very, very big aspirations, if she cares so much about New Mexico she would stay put and fix their education and criminal justice system. That in itself is a daunting task because she is from this region but Santa Fe politics is nothing like down here. Second, southern NM has been so badly ignored by Santa Fe (a travesty that has historical racial discrimination) that it is only kept alive by El Paso and Holloman Air Force. Why do you all think the local "old guard" media insist that NMSU and UTEP be in the same conference? Because the gags are the red headed step child to UNM/Santa Fe.
